What's included in your certified Arabic translation

Every certified Arabic translation includes the translation itself and a signed, dated statement on our letterhead confirming it is a true and accurate translation, with our name and contact details, and our official company stamp. That signed statement, not the stamp alone, is what UK authorities look for in a certified translation. We are an established UK translation company, the first in the UK to achieve ISO 17100, with over twenty years of experience translating official Arabic documents. You receive a copy by email, and we can also send a posted certified copy where the receiving authority does not accept a digital certification. Every document is handled securely and in line with GDPR.

Money-back guarantee on arabic certified translation services accepted by UK authorities and international organisations.

Accepted by UK authorities, guaranteed

Our certified Arabic translations are produced to be accepted by UK authorities, including the Home Office and UKVI for immigration and visa applications, HM Courts, UK universities and UK ENIC for recognising overseas qualifications, the DVLA and the Passport Office. Tell us which body will receive the translation and we recommend and set the right level of certification. We then back that recommendation with a money-back guarantee: if you take the option we recommend and the receiving authority does not accept it, or later changes what it requires, we will either put it right at no cost or refund you in full, provided we have the authority's decision in writing.

Right-to-left script and matching your passport

Arabic is written right to left, and a single Arabic name can be transliterated into the Roman alphabet several different ways, so the single most important job is spelling names exactly as they appear on your passport. We transliterate names, places and parents' details to match your travel document, and we handle the Hijri (Islamic) calendar dates found on many certificates, noting the Gregorian equivalent so a UK authority can read both.

Arabic documents differ by country

Civil documents vary widely across the Arabic-speaking world, and many states issue a family book (for example the daftar al-usra) that proves relationships in one document. We certify birth, marriage and death certificates, family books, academic certificates and criminal-record certificates from Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, the Gulf states and beyond, matching the format of the country that issued yours.

What a certified Arabic translation costs

Certified Arabic translation starts from £29 for a standard document or first page, including the translation, the certification and VAT, and £26 for each additional page. Because certificates are short, we price per document or per page, not per word. If notarisation is required, our in-house notary usually completes this the same day; an apostille, from £85, authenticates a UK original for use abroad and does not replace the translation. Your exact price depends on the number of pages and the level of certification. Upload your Arabic document for a fixed quote, or see our certified translation prices for a full breakdown.

How fast can you get it?

Most certified Arabic translations are ready within one to two working days, with same-day certification available on request for short documents such as an Arabic birth or marriage certificate. We offer both a standard and an express service; the turnaround reflects the length of the document, whether it also needs notarisation or an apostille, and how quickly you need it. When you upload your document, tell us your deadline and we will confirm a delivery date before you order.

Why Absolute Translations

Certified Arabic translation at Absolute Translations starts from £29 for a standard document or first page, including the translation, the certification and VAT, and £26 for each additional page. Because Arabic certificates and records are usually short, most orders sit at the base price. Your final figure depends on the number of pages and whether you also need notarisation or an apostille. Most certified Arabic translations are ready within one to two working days, and a short document such as an Arabic birth or marriage certificate can often be certified the same day on request. Yes. Our certified Arabic translations are produced to be accepted by UK authorities including the Home Office and UKVI, HM Courts, UK universities and UK ENIC, the DVLA and the Passport Office. Each carries our signed certification statement and official company stamp. We back it with a money-back guarantee: take the certification level we recommend and, if the receiving authority does not accept it in writing, we will put it right at no cost or refund you in full. Tell us the receiving body and we set the certification to the level it expects.

Yes, and it matters more for Arabic than for most languages. Arabic is written right to left and a name can be transliterated into the Roman alphabet in several ways, so we spell your name, your parents' names and place names to match your passport or the other documents in your application. A mismatch is one of the most common reasons the Home Office or a university queries a certified translation. Tell us the exact passport spelling when you upload the document and we will follow it throughout.

Yes. Arabic civil documents differ a great deal from country to country, and many states issue a family book, such as the daftar al-usra, that records a whole family's relationships in one document. We translate and certify birth, marriage, death and family-book records, along with academic and criminal-record certificates, from across the Arabic-speaking world, matching the layout of the country that issued yours. Tell us the country and the UK authority it is for and we will set the right level of certification.
