Certified translation, in every language we work in

This page brings together every language we provide certified translation in, from Afrikaans to Yoruba. For the documents we certify, birth and marriage certificates, academic qualifications, company documents and more, see our certified translation hub. For the right certification level for your destination country, see certified, sworn, notarised or apostille, which do you need on that same page. This page is simply the fastest way to find your language.

Certification depends on the country, not just the language

The certification your document needs is set by the country it is going to, not by the language it is written in. Most civil-law countries in Europe, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Poland among them, expect a sworn translation. Most Hague Convention member countries accept an apostille. Countries outside the Hague Convention usually need consular legalisation instead. Whichever language you need, tell us the receiving country when you request a quote and we will confirm the right level before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cost depends on the document as well as the language: certified translation is priced per document or per page rather than per word, from £29 including the translation, the certification and VAT, with additional pages from £26 for most languages. The exact figure also depends on whether the destination country needs notarisation or an apostille on top of the standard certification. Upload your document and tell us the language for a fixed quote, or first see how our certified pricing works.

Most certified translations are ready within one to two working days, and short documents such as a birth or marriage certificate can often be certified the same day on request, in any of our languages. Turnaround depends more on the length and complexity of the document than on the language itself, though a small number of less common languages may need a little longer to schedule a specialist translator. Tell us your deadline when you upload the document and we will confirm a delivery date before you order.

It depends on the country the document is going to, not the language it is written in, since two documents in the same language can need different treatment for different receiving countries. Most civil-law countries in Europe expect a sworn translation, most Hague Convention members accept an apostille, and countries outside the Hague Convention usually require consular legalisation instead. Tell us the receiving country when you request a quote and we will confirm the right certification level, the same guidance covers every language on this page.

Yes. We translate and certify documents into and from more than 200 languages in total; the 93 listed here are simply our most requested pairs, each with its own dedicated page covering typical documents, turnaround and certification requirements for that language. If your language is not shown, tell us when you request a quote and we will confirm availability, turnaround and pricing in exactly the same way as for any listed language; there is no separate process, no extra charge and no need to wait longer for an answer.

Both directions are covered from every language page listed here: translating a foreign-language document into English for a UK authority, and translating an English document into another language for use abroad, for example a UK degree certificate needed for a German employer or university. The certification level can differ depending on which direction you need, since it is set by the receiving country rather than the language itself. Tell us the direction and the receiving country when you request a quote and we will confirm the right level before you order.
