A notarised translation is a certified translation to which a Notary Public adds their certificate, confirming the identity and standing of the translator or the certification, for bodies that require notary confirmation on top of certification. At Absolute Translations we certify the translation and, because our Notary Public is in-house, we usually notarise it the same day, for overseas authorities, courts, universities and legal processes that ask for a notarised translation. Prices start from £29 for a standard document or first page for the certified translation, plus the notary’s fee.

Every certified notarised translation includes the translation itself and a signed, dated statement confirming it is a true and accurate translation, carrying our name and contact details, together with our official company stamp on our letterhead. That signed statement, not the stamp alone, is what UK authorities look for. You receive a copy by email, and we can also send a posted certified copy where the receiving authority does not accept a digital certification.
