What is a certified passport translation?
A certified passport translation is an official English translation of a foreign passport, supplied with a signed statement of accuracy on company letterhead that confirms the translation is true and complete. UK authorities such as the Home Office and UKVI, along with universities, banks and employers, normally require this certification before they will accept a translated passport as supporting evidence. The translation does not replace your passport. It is an accompanying certified document that allows an Englishspeaking authority to read and rely on its contents. When you use a UK passport abroad, the same principle applies in reverse: a certified translation into the local language is added alongside the original.
