Certificate of good standing translation

A certified certificate of good standing translation is an official translation of the certificate Companies House issues to confirm a UK company is on the register and up to date with its filings, accompanied by a signed statement confirming the translation is true and accurate. At Absolute Translations we translate and certify certificates of good standing for use with overseas company registries, banks, courts and regulators, as well as UK authorities where a translation is needed. Prices start from £29 for a standard document or first page, including the translation, the certification and VAT, and because the certificate is usually short, many can be certified the same day.

Certified translation with signed statement and official company stamp

What’s included in your certified translation

Every certified certificate of good standing translation includes the translation itself and a signed, dated statement confirming it is a true and accurate translation, carrying our name and contact details, together with our official company stamp on our letterhead. That signed statement, not the stamp alone, is what UK authorities look for. We are an established UK translation company, the first in the UK to achieve ISO 17100, with over twenty years of experience translating official and legal documents. You receive a copy by email, and we can also send a posted certified copy where the receiving authority does not accept a digital certification. Every document is handled securely and in line with GDPR.

Money-back guarantee on certified of good standing translations accepted by UK authorities and international organisations.

Accepted by the bodies that request it, guaranteed

Our certified certificate of good standing translations are produced to be accepted by the overseas bodies that ask for them and by UK authorities. Companies rely on us when opening a bank account or branch abroad, registering a subsidiary, bidding for an international tender or satisfying a foreign regulator, each of which often asks for proof that the UK company is active and compliant. Tell us which country and body will receive the translation and we recommend and set the right level of certification, and where the destination requires it we can arrange an apostille or consular legalisation. We back that recommendation with a money-back guarantee: if you take the option we recommend and the receiving body does not accept it, we will put it right at no cost or refund you in full, provided we have its decision in writing.

Keeping the company details exact across your corporate paperwork

A certificate of good standing is rarely submitted on its own, so the details on it, the exact registered company name, the company number, the incorporation date and the issuing registry, must match your certificate of incorporation, your memorandum and articles and any board resolutions to the letter. We reproduce every name, number and date precisely and keep terminology consistent across a bundle of company documents translated together, so a foreign registry or bank does not reject the file over a mismatch between documents.

Legalisation for the destination country

A certificate of good standing is almost always going abroad, so the receiving country usually needs the translation legalised as well as certified. Where the destination is in the Hague Convention we can arrange an apostille, from £85, which covers the FCDO legalisation fee and secure courier; for other countries we can arrange consular legalisation through the relevant embassy. Tell us the destination and we confirm the correct order of certification, translation and legalisation before we begin, so the document is accepted first time.

What a certified certificate of good standing translation costs

Certified certificate of good standing translation starts from £29 for a standard document or first page, including the translation, the certification and VAT; additional pages, where needed, are from £26 for most languages. Because the certificate is short, most orders sit at the base price. If notarisation is required, our in-house notary usually completes this the same day; an apostille, from £85, legalises the document for use in another Hague Convention country. Your exact price depends on the language pair, the number of pages and the level of certification. Upload your certificate of good standing for a fixed quote, or see our certified translation prices for a full breakdown.

How fast can you get it?

Most certified certificate of good standing translations are ready within one to two working days, and because the certificate is usually short, same-day certification is available on request. We offer both a standard and an express service; the turnaround reflects the length of the document, the language pair and the level of certification. When you upload your certificate, tell us your deadline and we will confirm a delivery date before you order.

Most certified certificate of good standing translations are ready within one to two working days, and a single short certificate can often be certified the same day on request. Turnaround depends on the language pair, the level of certification and whether other company documents are being translated alongside it. Yes. Our certified translations are produced to be accepted by the overseas registries, banks, courts and regulators that request a certificate of good standing, and we carry our signed certification statement and official company stamp. Where the destination country requires it, we can also arrange an apostille or consular legalisation. Tell us the country and receiving body and we set the certification, and any legalisation, to the level it expects, backed by our money-back guarantee.

Yes, and it is usually better to. A certificate of good standing is often filed alongside the certificate of incorporation and the memorandum and articles, so we translate the set together and keep the company name, number, dates and legal terminology identical across every document, which prevents a foreign registry or bank rejecting the file over an inconsistency between documents.

Often, yes. Most countries that ask for a certificate of good standing also want the document legalised, with an apostille for Hague Convention countries or consular legalisation for others. We can arrange the apostille, from £85, which covers the FCDO fee and secure courier, and we confirm the correct order of translation and legalisation for your destination before we begin.
